Detailed plumbing inspections for all stages of your new home build
Bringing you complete peace of mind
Bringing you complete peace of mind
We provide plumbing inspections reports for the three key
stages of plumbing: internal drainage, rough in and fit off.
Did you know that less than 25% of all new build plumbing is physically inspected by Fair Work?
A Notice of Work must be filed with Fair Work to confirm work being undertaken, and is required to certify that the work meets Australian Standards. BUT. Did you know that a licenced plumber can submit this on behalf of the builder, without any checks to confirm that their work actually complies?
Site Supervisors are qualifed and integral to a build, but are primarily qualified in building or construction with minimal understanding of the extensive codes specific to plumbing, and can only undertake basic visual inspections, leaving it up to the plumber to do what’s right, which does not always happen.
This is when the internal drainage is laid under ground in preparation for your slab to go down.
If your internal drainage is not plumbed correctly, and issues arise down the track, this could have serious ramifications for the foundations of your home.
The rough in stage refers to the stage after frames are complete, when the framework for key systems, such as plumbing and electrical, are installed, before the walls are sheeted. So basically, everything that’s hiding within your walls and roof!
Fit off is the final stage where the plumbing outlets and fixtures are installed. These include taps, mixers, showerheads, etc, and can also be called the finishing stage.
