Brad Mills is a fully licenced plumber, passionate about quality, with over two decades of experience across a number of trades including plumbing, carpentry and plastering.

After working for several years as a Plumbing Project Manager on high rise residential and commercial buildings, and inspecting plumbing and fire systems in over 1,000 units and commercial premises, he realised there are very few plumbing inspectors available for individual owners to help them uncover potentially detrimental plumbing issues during their build. 

Site Supervisors, Compliance Managers, and Private Inspectors are all qualified and vital roles in overseeing your home build and are there to ensure that your frames are straight, formwork is correct, and your other trades are complying against The Building Code of Australia (BCA), but there’s rarely someone on site fully qualified to check that the plumbers are working to the appropriate plumbing standards - The Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA).  

Most plumbing works in new builds are subcontracted from the builder to an external plumbing business. With the power to self-certify, and Fair Work only signing off on roughly one in five builds, it is on the plumbers to determine their own work meets the required standards, which does not always happen.
